Wahdat Poultry expands after PSX listing, adds 100,000 layer birds
Wahdat Poultry Farm Limited has approved its annual budget and business plan for the financial year ending June 30, 2027, and is moving ahead with an expansion plan that includes a new flock of 100,000 layer birds and facilities for value-added egg products.
The company’s latest filing follows its successful listing on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Main Board on May 8, 2026, after raising PKR 956 million in its initial public offering at a strike price of PKR 18 per share. PSX said the IPO was oversubscribed 5.2 times in the book-building phase, reflecting strong investor interest.
Expansion plan
According to the company’s announcement, the expansion programme includes rearing an additional flock of 100,000 layer birds, which is expected to start commercial egg production in November 2026. The company had already outlined IPO-funded growth plans in its prospectus, including investment in a liquid egg pasteurisation plant and poultry capacity expansion.
The additional flock is expected to increase egg production capacity once the birds reach laying maturity. once the birds reach laying maturity. Earlier pre-IPO reporting also described Wahdat as a vertically integrated layer-egg business with a strong presence in Pakistan’s packaged and enriched egg segment.
IPO background
The IPO received regulatory approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in April 2026, with PSX later confirming the listing and the final offer structure. PSX’s listing notice said trading began on the Main Board on May 8, 2026, with the company quoted in the Food & Personal Care Products sector. The exchange also stated that the company is considered Shariah compliant under the KMI All Share Islamic Index screening criteria.
Company profile
PSX’s company profile shows that Wahdat Poultry Farm was incorporated in Pakistan in 2019 and later converted into a public unlisted company in December 2025 before its market debut. Its principal activity includes poultry layer farming, egg and feed processing, marketing, branding, distribution, and related import-export business. The company operates under the “Farm Fresh Eggs” brand, which was highlighted in pre-listing investor materials and related coverage.
Why it matters
The new flock and value-added processing plans suggest Wahdat Poultry is trying to move beyond commodity egg production and strengthen margins through processed egg products. For Pakistan’s poultry sector, the listing is notable because it brings a vertically integrated layer business to the public market and signals investor appetite for agribusiness growth stories.
