Perceptive, Nucleus partner to support radiopharmaceutical development
Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will direct qualified customer opportunities to the other across the development pipeline.
A joint governance structure will oversee the collaboration.
Both entities will maintain independent operations, ensuring customer choice is retained. Over time, the companies plan to evaluate operational performance and broaden the remit of the partnership according to customer demand.
The collaboration aims to address common development obstacles, focusing on minimising the time, cost, and operational friction that programmes face when transitioning between preclinical imaging and good manufacturing practice (GMP) processes.
For Perceptive Discovery, the collaboration establishes an aligned route toward clinical-scale radiopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Imaging-derived dosimetry and biodistribution metrics support radioligand candidate selection as well as first-in-human trial planning, and structured coordination ensures scientific continuity as programmes progress.
Nucleus RadioPharma CEO Stephen Hahn said: “Discovery to Dose is more than a handoff between companies. It is an integrated pathway designed to move promising radiopharmaceuticals from early science to patients faster, with manufacturability and scale considered from the beginning.
“By connecting Perceptive Discovery’s preclinical imaging leadership with our clinical and commercial manufacturing capabilities, we are giving our shared customers a clearer, faster route from target to clinic – and ultimately helping important new therapies reach patients sooner.”
Nucleus RadioPharma operates as a contract development and manufacturing organisation specialising in targeted radiotherapies.
Its technical capabilities include GMP radiolabelling, process development, formulation and analytical development, regulatory and quality documentation, and clinical and commercial drug product supply, alongside a specialised isotope supply chain.
Perceptive Discovery functions as a preclinical and translational research organisation backing work in oncology, central nervous system therapies, and radiopharmaceuticals.
The company conducts preclinical modelling, radiochemistry, biodistribution, molecular imaging, quantitative analysis, dosimetry, and in vitro and in vivo studies to help sponsors resolve development difficulties and select clinical candidates.
