7 October, 2026 – Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) has announced a new partnership with Science for Sport, giving members access to more than 160 practical, on-demand courses recognized for ESSA learning hours. Designed and delivered by working coaches and subject specialists, each course translates current sports science research into immediate, on-the-job application. The partnership combines ESSA’s professional standards with Science for Sport’s expert-led education, covering strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, nutrition, psychology, coaching and performance.

The partnership also offers an exclusive annual membership discount and a collaborative initiative to co-develop new curriculum.

ESSA Member Benefits & Savings

Every course in the Science for Sport library counts directly toward ESSA learning hours, offering members a flexible, self-paced way to meet annual requirements through high-value, practical content.

As part of the partnership, ESSA members will receive an exclusive 20% discount on annual Science for Sport memberships. Eligible members will receive their redemption code via email, with full instructions to claim the offer.

Promoter and competition period

  1. The promoter is Catapult Pty Ltd (ABN 66 137 513 378), trading as Science for Sport, of Level 2, 630 Church Street, Richmond VIC, Australia (Promoter). ESSA is a partner in the promotion but is not the promoter. Competition enquiries can be sent to will.saville@catapultsports.com.
  2. The competition opens at 12:00 pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Wednesday 7 October 2026 and closes at 11:59 pm AEST on Friday 6 November 2026. All times in these terms are AEST (UTC+10).

Eligibility and entry

  1. Entry is open to people aged 18 or over who are current financial ESSA members when they make their qualifying purchase and when the winners are drawn. ESSA members may enter wherever they live, subject to applicable law.
  2. Employees and officers of the Promoter or ESSA who are involved in conducting the competition, and their immediate families, cannot enter.
  3. To enter, an eligible ESSA member must purchase and pay for a Science for Sport annual licence during the competition period using the ESSA member discount code supplied to them. Each qualifying paid annual licence receives one entry. Entry is automatic once the purchase is completed; there is no separate entry form or competition entry fee. Both [Standard and Premium] annual licences qualify. [Confirm whether renewals qualify.]
  4. Monthly licences, free accounts, purchases without the ESSA member discount code, and purchases cancelled or fully refunded before the draw do not qualify. Purchasing additional qualifying annual licences provides additional entries, but does not guarantee a prize. Each valid entry has an equal chance of winning the first prize drawn.

Prizes

  1. There are five prizes:
    • One Perch P2 camera and system, including the camera, equipment for a full setup and a one-year software licence.
    • One Vector Core system, including the full hardware and software setup and a one-year software licence.
    • Three complimentary second-year Science for Sport annual licences. Each provides a further 12 months on the same annual tier as the winner’s qualifying purchase, starting immediately after their first paid year ends.

Draw and winners

  1. Winners will be selected at random from all valid entries on Wednesday 11 November 2026 at 8pm AEST. The Vector Core prize will be drawn first, the Perch P2 prize second, followed by the three annual licence prizes. A winning entry will be removed before the next draw. If a person holds another valid entry, that entry remains in the draw. Entrants do not need to attend. The Promoter will keep a record of the draw.
  2. Before awarding a prize, the Promoter may reasonably verify a selected entrant’s identity, qualifying paid purchase and current ESSA membership. If a selected entry is invalid, another valid entry will be selected at random, subject to applicable law.
  3. Winners will be notified by email, using the address associated with their qualifying purchase, by Friday 13 November 2026. The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact each winner. A winner must respond within 14 days of receiving the notification and provide the information reasonably needed to receive their prize.
  4. Subject to applicable law, any prize that remains unclaimed after the response deadline will be awarded in a further random draw from the remaining valid entries on Tuesday 1 December 2026 at AEST. Any further-draw winner will be notified by email within two business days. If applicable law or an approval requires a different process or date for an unclaimed prize, that requirement will apply.
  5. Results will be published at www.scienceforsport.com by Friday 11 December 2026, with winner details published to the extent required by applicable law.

Privacy and general terms

  1. The Promoter will use entrants’ purchase and membership information to administer the competition, verify eligibility, contact winners and deliver prizes. It may ask ESSA to confirm a selected entrant’s membership status. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Science for Sport privacy policy: https://www.scienceforsport.com/privacy-policy/. Entry does not require consent to receive unrelated marketing communications.
  2. The Promoter may amend or suspend the competition only where permitted by applicable law and any relevant approval conditions, and will take reasonable steps to notify affected entrants. Nothing in these terms limits rights under Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
