Lannett launches generic Advair Diskus in US
Lannett Company LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma USA, Inc., has launched the generic equivalent of Advair Diskus (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol inhalation powder), a product of GSK plc, in the US market.
The product has been launched in 100/50 mcg and 250/50 mcg strengths.
The launch is the first product from Lannett’s inhalation pipeline to be commercialised in the US, reflecting the company’s focus on expanding its portfolio of complex and differentiated inhalation products.
Advair Diskus in combination therapy is indicated for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
