NMC Imposes Rs 1 Crore Penalty on Seven Colleges For Not Disclosing Stipend Details Online

Taking strict action over non-compliance, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has imposed a penalty of Rs 1 crore each on seven medical colleges for failing to disclose information regarding payment of stipends to MBBS interns and postgraduate medical residents.
The colleges on which the penalty has been imposed include Akash Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Devanahalli, Karnataka, Dumka Medical College, Jharkhand, Government Medical College Barmer, Rajasthan, Government Medical College Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, RKDF Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Prasad Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and Pt. B. D. Sharma Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak, Haryana.
