The chairside 3D printing playbook: evidence meets everyday dentistry
This webinar bridges emerging chairside 3D printing technology with evidence-based dental practice.
It will explore current research, clinical workflows, and applications in fixed restorations to help clinicians make confident, informed decisions in their own practice.
Learning outcomes
- Understand the current evidence base for 3D-printed fixed restorations and recognise the limitations of current printable materials for fixed restorations
- Identify practical applications for chairside printing in fixed prosthodontics, such as provisional crowns and bridges, try-ins, and definitive restorations where indicated
- Evaluate how scanning, design software, and printing materials integrate into an efficient chairside workflow for fixed restorative cases
- Apply evidence-based criteria to determine when chairside printing is appropriate for fixed restorations versus conventional or lab-based fabrication
- Gain practical tips and troubleshooting strategies for successful chairside printing outcomes, from scanning through post-processing and clinical seating.
