Kaiser Permanente Medicare health plans are highly rated

Kaiser Permanente’s Medicare Advantage health plans are highly rated, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) 2027 Star ratings.

Medicare annually evaluates plans based on a 5-star rating system. For the third year in a row, all Kaiser Permanente Medicare health plans rated 4 stars or above, with 8 of the 9 eligible plans rating 4.5 stars or higher.

To develop the ratings, CMS considers a range of categories including care and service, how well health plans keep members healthy and manage their chronic conditions, patient experiences, customer service, patient access, and pharmacy services

The Kaiser Permanente Nevada Medicare plan was rated 5 out of 5 stars for the second year in a row. Kaiser Permanente Medicare health plans in California, Georgia, Hawaii, Northwest (Oregon and southwest Washington), Washington state, and the Mid-Atlantic states (Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.) received 4.5 out of 5 stars. Colorado health plans rated 4 out of 5 stars.
