What are signs of niacin deficiency?
Severe niacin deficiency causes pellagra, a serious disease involving the skin, digestive system, and nervous system. It is uncommon in industrialized countries.
Pellagra is often summarized by the “four Ds”:

- Diarrhea and other gastrointestinal changes
- Dementia or neurological and psychiatric changes
