Mumbai, 10th August, 2026: The Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers Association (CLFMA) of India, the apex industry body representing the country’s livestock sector, will host its 59th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and 67th National Symposium on September 11–12, 2026, at The Leela Mumbai. Centered on the theme, “Animal Agriculture – The Backbone of Sustainable Development,” the two-day event will convene policymakers, industry leaders, academicians, researchers, farmers and allied stakeholders to discuss the future of India’s animal agriculture sector.

Clfma of India logoAs India’s livestock ecosystem continues to evolve, the symposium will provide a platform to address the key priorities shaping its growth. Discussions will focus on sustainability, animal nutrition, feed innovation, technology adoption, policy support and international trade, while encouraging greater collaboration between government, industry and academia. The deliberations aim to identify practical strategies that strengthen productivity, improve resilience and enhance the global competitiveness of India’s animal agriculture sector.

The inaugural session will be graced by Dr Muthukumarasamy B., Joint Secretary (NLM), Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India, as the Special Guest. The session will also feature addresses by CLFMA leadership and other distinguished dignitaries from government and industry. As part of the inaugural ceremony, CLFMA will present its annual Awards and Student Awards, followed by the launch of the CLFMA Souvenir and the CLFMA Survey Report. The session will conclude with a networking interaction among stakeholders from across the animal agriculture value chain.

The second day of the symposium will feature keynote addresses, expert presentations and panel discussions on some of the sector’s most pressing priorities. Sessions will cover government-industry collaboration, the application of Artificial Intelligence in animal agriculture, international trade, pet food, and the sector’s contribution to global food security. A dedicated panel discussion on “One Nation, One Voice” will bring together leading national industry associations to explore a more unified approach towards policy advocacy and sectoral development.

The symposium is expected to witness participation from senior officials of the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India, representatives from national livestock and poultry associations, business leaders, researchers, academicians and international experts. The event will serve as an important forum for exchanging knowledge, sharing best practices and fostering partnerships that can support the long-term growth of India’s animal agriculture ecosystem.
